A sole practitioner who’s had some fun.
The architecture practice has wound down as we look in other directions. Ian Rankin remains on the ARB register and is happy to offer consultations in partnership with another firm of architects though this will limit the projects with which he gets involved.
We didn’t specialise!
Ian Rankin has broad experience from a career in some of Glasgow’s best architectural practices plus time working in Africa. More recent projects involved supporting World Monuments Fund in conserving Zanzibar Cathedral, advising Glasgow Chinese Christian Fellowship in extensive repairs to their Glasgow listed tenement, working as a partner in Safi Homes when it carried out a small development of flats and completely renovating a historic cottage above Dunure as his new home.
Ian Rankin is a member of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland. and the Royal Institute of British Architects. “Architect” is a protected title; Ian Rankin’s right to use it can be checked on the ARB website architect list.
